David Michael & Co Opens New Mexican Flavour Plant

13 August 2007 - David Michael & Co., a US supplier of flavours, stabilizers and natural colours has announced the opening of a new facility in Lerma in Mexico.

The new 6,000 sq m plant will cater for David Michael's Mexican and Latin American clients, the company said. It will have numerous laboratories, including applications, culinary, sensory, quality control, flavor creation and microbiology.

It will include the capability of manufacturing liquid and powder blends, emulsions, washed oils, beverage concentrates, among other flavor related products.

Established in 1896, David Michael & Co. has been a leader and an innovator in the food flavor industry for more than one hundred years. David Michael offers a comprehensive line of over 30,000 flavors, stabilizers and natural colors, which can be custom-designed to meet the needs of virtually any food product.

With its global headquarters in Philadelphia, PA, David Michael also has facilities in Northbrook, IL, San Bernardino, CA, and internationally in Mexico City, Mexico (David Michael de Mexico SA de CV), Valence, France (David Michael Europe, S.A.S.) and Beijing, China (David Michael (Beijing) Flavor Co.
