Solvay Starts Peracetic Acid Production in China

Brussels, Aug 14 - Belgian drugs, chemicals and plastics maker Solvay said on Tuesday it had started producing peracetic acid at its plant in Suzhou in China.

Solvay said demand for peracetic acid, which is used as a disinfectant in the food and drinks packaging industry and in pharmaceutical equipment, has been growing strongly in China.
