Lebedyansky to Expand Existing Production Units

16 August 2007 - Lebedyansky, who earlier this week, said it would acquire all 100% of Lipetsk-based juice manufacturer Progress, also plans to invest USD 200 million in boosting production in 2007-2008.

Besides building the Novosibirsk at an estimated USD 50 million, Lebedyansky also plans to expand its existing production facilities, company spokesman Alexander Kostikov told journalists during a conference yesterday.

FLEXNEWS reported on Monday that the construction of the Novosibirsk plant, which is expected to start later on this year, should be completed in October 2009.

Also on Monday, the Russian press reported that US soft drinks giant PepsiCo acquired over 76% of Lebedyansky for USD 1.5 to 2 billion.
