Kesko Eyes Russia, Baltic Acquisitions

Helsinki, Sept 6 - Finnish retailer Kesko said on Thursday it was looking for acquisition targets in Russia and Baltic countries to expand its food and hardware units.

In food business we are looking for acquisition targets in Russia and Baltic countries. For hardware unit Rautakesko acquisitions are possible in Russia and Baltic countries, Kesko said in presentation materials for its Capital Markets Day.

It also said it targets return on capital employed (ROCE) of 16 percent and return on equity (ROE) of 14 percent.
