Milan, Sep. 21 - Esselunga SpA's founder and Chairman Bernardo Caprotti said Friday that a sale of the privately-held supermarket chain, Italy's fifth-largest by market share, is one option for the future.
But the 81-year-old veteran of Italy's fragmented supermarket sector, who has no heirs interested in running the family business, also said that he is in no hurry to sell Esselunga, which has annual revenue of close to EUR5 billion.
