Sept 24, 2007 – The Romanian dairy company is to spend 3 million euro building a new logistics centre near Bucharest.
A recent shareholders’ meeting gave the go-ahead to the deal that will see the firm using the cash buy a plot of land, build and equip the centre at nearby Afumati.
The company said it hopes the centre, which is due to open in summer 2008 to serve Bucharest and south east Romania, will facilitate a hefty increase in its dairy output.
Present distribution for that area comes from its site at Alba-Iulia, built in 1971, which largely targets hypermarkets.
In August, FLEXNEWS reported the company was planning to open a new 10 million euro manufacturing plant that would boost its processing capacity from 140,000 to 200,000 litres a day.
