Operating profit for the period JanuarySeptember was SEK 857 m. Operating profit for the corresponding period a year ago, totalling SEK 938 m, included SEK 89 m from the settlement with the Vi retailers association.

Profit after financial items for the period was SEK 831 m (922).

Profit after tax for the period was SEK 598 m (664), and earnings per share were SEK 11.40 (12.43).

Axfood's consolidated sales amounted to SEK 21,536 m (21,424) during the first nine months of the year, an increase of 0.5%.

Like-for-like sales rose 0.1%. Retail sales for Axfood's wholly owned stores decreased by 0.3% during the period.

Unchanged forecast for 2007.
