29 October, 2007 – Global Franchise Architects (GFA) has confirmed to FLEXNEWS it plans to bring a new chain of food outlets called The Donut Baker to India.
The planned US$12 million investment has seen the first shop open in Bangalore this month selling donuts and other bakery products, with a further 39 planned across the country by 2012.
The Geneva-based specialty food company proposes to site the new stores in shopping malls, airports and IT parks.
Started in 2004, GFA also owns Pizza Corner and Coffee World as well as other brands such as The Cream and Fudge Factory, Golden Pretzel and New York Deli.
