The sauces will be manufactured at Ybarra's plant in Dos Hermanas, in the Spanish province of Seville.

“The years-long business success of Ybarra, the skills and professionalism of its staff and the quality of the premises, as well as Ybarra’s experience on cold sauces, segment where this company is the Spanish market leader, were the key factors for Heinz to close this agreement”, Ybarra said in a statement.

Both companies have indicated that in the medium-term, they are prepared to extend the scope of this agreement to other areas of business.

In 2006, Ybarra’s turnover amounted to 180 million euro.

The Dos Hermanas plant currently produces Ybarra-branded mayonnaises, sauces, olive oils, sunflower oils and vinegars.
