Permira Says Not Bidding for Spain's Ebro Puleva

Madrid, Nov 26 - British private equity group Permira said on Monday it was not interested in bidding for Spanish food firm Ebro Puleva , contradicting a press report that said it was looking over the books.

"We deny any interest in Ebro," a Permira spokesman said.

The private equity group later said in a statement: "Permira ... denies that said funds are preparing a takeover bid for Ebro Puleva".
