27 November 2007 - Malmö-based dairy company Skanemejerier has confirmed that it has entered into an agreement to acquire a 33% share in Danish dairy Logismose Mejeri A/S.
The deal, the financial details of which weren’t disclosed, will allow Skanemejerier to sell low-lactose milk products, cheeses and food from its Proviva range on the Danish market. The Swedish company didn’t rule out introducing a wider selection of its products to Denmark at a later stage. The group also aims to develop new products in cooperation with Logismose, Skanemejerier said in a statement.
The agreement will help the company towards its goal of becoming Scandinavia’s best known health food company.
Skanemejerier is southern Sweden's leading dairy and is cooperatively owned by 670 dairy farms. It specialises in functional food.
