Azelis Benelux Announces New Partner in the Netherlands

27 November 2007 - In line with the Azelis Group's goal to strengthen its position in the Netherlands and Benelux, the operating company in Belgium, Azelis Benelux, has acquired Interland Chemie B.V., based in Oosterhout, the Netherlands.

Interland, with total sales of more than €50 million in 2007, is one of the few remaining independent Dutch specialty chemicals distributors, concentrating on the Food, Chemicals and Animal Nutrition sectors. Driven by a dynamic and professional team and a personal approach, Interland serves an impressive Principal and Customer base. The current Interland Board and Management team will remain unchanged ensuring continuity for Principals and Customers and they will join Azelis as shareholders.

Herman Meynaerts, Managing Director of Azelis Benelux said: “We look forward to working together with this successful, entrepreneurial and growing company and we are strongly convinced that Interland’s activities complement those of Azelis.”  Henk Wisseborn, Managing Director of Interland confirms: “Interland’s Principals will fully support this acquisition deal as the pan-European scale of Azelis will offer them multiple benefits.”

Hans Udo Wenzel, CEO of Azelis S.A added: “This mutual partnership offers great synergy potential for the Azelis Group in these important industry sectors and will substantially reinforce our position in the Benelux area.”
