New York, Nov 29 - Alcoholic drinks company Brown-Forman Corp reported higher quarterly profit on Thursday, helped by the weak dollar and the acquisition of the Mexican tequila brand Casa Herradura.
Brown-Forman, which also owns Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey, Finlandia vodka and Woodford Reserve bourbon, said net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Oct. 31 was $129.4 million, or $1.04 per share, compared to $123.8 million, or $1.00 per share, a year ago.
