London, Nov. 30 - U.K. supermarket major Sainsbury's will use wheat grown in East Anglia and sourced by Camgrain, to supply flour to its in-store bakeries, it said Friday.
Camgrain, a farmer-owned cooperative, has a two-year contract to supply the wheat from traceable U.K. farms.
The supermarket also intends to launch a British flour development group early next year, to strengthen the communication between farmers, millers and the retailer.
