The deal also includes the takeover of Kraft Foods’ manufacturing facility in Zamora (northwestern Spain), which has a workforce of 91.

The operation will allow Lactalis to strengthen its position in the Spanish cheese market. In 2006 the French dairy firm acquired Nestle's cheese assets, including the "Flor de Esgueva" brand.

Lactalis has an annual turnover of over 450 million euro in the Spanish market.
