Jan. 9 - Toupargel Groupe sales for the 4th quarter of 2007 totalled E104.2 million, down 1.5% compared to the 4th quarter 2006. For the entire 2007 year, sales reached E363.1 million, a 4.2% drop from the previous year.
Frozen Foods business :
Frozen Foods sales dropped by 2.2% in the 4th quarter 2007 for an equivalent number of days, versus -6.0% during the first nine months of 2007. For the 2007 year, sales were down by 4.9% to E346.4 million. This corresponds to a 1.2% increase in the average sales order value and 6,0% decrease in the number of orders, due to less prospecting for new clients compared to 2006 and reduced loyalty bonding of clients created prior to 2007.
The actions initiated in late 2007 should enable a return to growth in 2008.
Fresh Foods and Groceries :
Sales for the 4th quarter of 2007 for the totalled E4.6 million, up 16.0% compared to the 4th quarter 2006.
For the 2007 year, Fresh Foods and Groceries sales totalled E16.7 million, up 12.4% over the previous year. This improvement results from an increase in the average sales order value and sustained prospecting of new clients.
