UK: Peter's Food Service to Invest in Bedwas Factory

15 January 2008 - Peter's Food Service, a manufacturer and supplier of savoury pastries to major UK retailers, is to invest £650,000 ($1.28 million) in its Bedwas factory and create at least 30 jobs, local media report.

The move will allow the factory, in Bedwas, South Wales, to cater for an increase in production following the signing of a new contract with supermarket giant Asda, Wal Mart’s UK subsidiary, according to which Peter’s is to supply the retailer with 250,000 (32 tonnes) savoury pastries a week.
