Polish Candy Maker Wawel to Build Plant in Ukraine

18 January 2008 - Polish confectionery producer Wawel is planning to build a 50 million zloty (13.87 million euro) plant in Ukraine this year, reports the local Ukrainian media.

The plant is expected to be built in the western region of Ivano-Frankivsk region and will produce sweets, wafers and chocolates.

Wawel generated sales of 239.2 million zloty (66.4 million euro) in 2006.
