VinacapheDalat is also in discussion with the Brazilian Coffee Association with regards to the construction, at the same location, of a dissolved coffee processing plant with an annual capacity of 40,000 tonnes. The project would cost $15 million and start mid-2008.
In other news, Thai Hoa Corporation, a coffee producer and exporter, recently bought an instant coffee production line off Danish GEA Niro A/S for US$14.89 million. The installation of the new production line at Thai Hoa’s plant in Lam Dong province should be complete within the year.
