Feb. 4 - Asian Citrus, the largest orange plantation owner and operator in China, announces that the yield for the Winter Orange crop from its Hepu Plantation increased from approximately 46,219 tonnes to about 49,162 tonnes in the current financial year, representing an increase of around 6% which is in line with management's expectations for winter production.
In addition, the Group's Xinfeng Plantation has started its first commercial production yielding about 10,119 tonnes of oranges in the current financial year. The total Winter Orange crop yield of the Group from the two plantations was approximately 59,281 tonnes, representing an increase of around 19% from the Group's total Winter Orange crop yield in 2006.
In the full year to 30 June 2007, sales of Winter Oranges produced 30.7% of total revenues with Summer Oranges accounting for the balance.
