13 February 2008 - A. Zorbas & Sons, a leading bakery chain in Cyprus, plans to expand its operations to Romania by initially opening 2 to 3 outlets in the country and a further few before the end of 2008.
The Cypriot press estimates the expansion investment at 3 million euro. It is understood that the company wants to grow its market share in Romania, which currently stands at 35%.
According to press reports, the bakery chain has already sealed a deal with McDonalds Romania to supply its bakery products to local restaurants.
