16 February 2008 - Ocean Nutrition Canada (ONC), supplier of MEG-3® brand Omega-3 EPA/DHA food and dietary supplement ingredients, is pleased to announce that Dale Farm Ltd. launched a new low fat milk product containing the MEG-3® EPA/DHA ingredient. This new milk product, Dale Farm Mega Milk, arrived in major grocery locations throughout Northern Ireland on January 15th, 2008. This is the first food or beverage product containing the MEG-3® ingredient, from fish, to be launched in Ireland.
Dale Farm Mega Milk is high in calcium and low in saturated fat. It contains Vitamins A, B2, B12, D, and E. Each 250 ml glass of Mega Milk also contains 37.5 mg of MEG-3® brand Omega-3 EPA/DHA.
Health professionals and major health organizations around the world endorse Omega-3 EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) as being essential for overall good health. Specifically, EPA and DHA have been scientifically linked to supporting cardiovascular health and maintaining healthy brain function and visual acuity.
