Houston, Texas, March 11, 2008 - Country Fresh, Inc., a leading manufacturer and distributor of fresh-cut produce and ready-to-eat meal solutions, today announced the opening of its new 55,000 square-foot processing plant in Hatfield, Pennsylvania. The facility will process the company's full line of fresh food products, as well as manage year-round production of fresh-cut apples. The facility currently employs 50 people.
"We are excited to open the Hatfield plant to accommodate our ongoing growth and expand our presence in the northeast region," said Scott Silkwood, Country Fresh, Inc.'s Vice President of Operations. "Regional plants enable us to customize processing to local markets, and allow for shorter lead times with more frequent deliveries, which mean customers get the freshest products."
