Kraft Cuts Maxwell House Coffee 20 Cents Per 11-13 Oz Can (DJ)

March 31 - Kraft Foods on Monday lowered its list prices for Maxwell House and Yuban ground, roasted coffee, effective immediately, after cuts Thursday by Procter & Gamble's Folgers and by Massimo Zanetti Beverage USA, owner of Chock Full o' Nuts.

Prices of Maxwell House and Yuban were reduced 20 cents per 11 to 13 ounces, while instant coffee prices were left unchanged, according to Kraft spokeswoman Bridget MacConnell.

"We have responded to lower, sustained green coffee prices since our last list-pricing action," which was an increase in early March, MacConnell said.
