It is understood that that 150 of the 211 jobs at Norris Green could be concerned.

A spokesman told the local press: “I must stress that this review is taking place at an operational level focusing on our supply chain, which is separate to our retail shops.”

Sayers reportedly cut 200 jobs from the Norris Green site last year after losing a contract with UK food retailer Kwik Save, which went into administration.
