ICO Cuts 07-08 World Coffee Output by 1M Bags to 117 Million Bags (DJ)

London, April 10 - World coffee production for 2007-08 has been revised down slightly to 117 million 60-kilogram bags, from the February estimate of 118 million bags,the International Coffee Organization said Thursday.

However, production should grow significantly in the 2008-09 crop to around 126 million bags,the ICO said.

World consumption is also expected to increase to over 125 million bags in 2008, compared with 123 million bags in 2007.
