Qingdao, China and Rockville, Maryland, April 11 - Synutra International, Inc. (''Synutra''), a leading infant formula company in China, and a producer, marketer and seller of nutritional products for infants, children and adults, today announced that it has filed a registration statement on Form S-1 with the US Securities and Exchange Commission relating to the proposed public offering of its common stock.
Synutra intends to use the net proceeds of the offering for construction and expansion of production facilities and production lines; construction of a new research and development facility in Beijing; advertising, promotion and marketing; and other general corporate purposes. The offering is being made through the underwriting syndicate of Goldman Sachs (Asia) L.L.C., Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated, and Deutsche Bank Securities Inc.
A registration statement relating to shares of Synutra's common stock has been filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission but has not yet become effective.
