Archer Daniels Delays Ethanol, Cocoa Plants

Chicago, April 29 - Archer Daniels Midland Co said on Tuesday that the opening of its new ethanol plants, a cocoa plant and other projects will be delayed until 2009 and 2010 due to weather and delayed steel shipments.

Total project costs are expected to remain fairly steady at $2.6 billion, compared with initial estimates of $2.5 billion, the company said on a conference call with analysts.
