Sainsbury's Recalls Chocolate and Toffee Crisp Bites

May 2 - Sainsbury's has recalled some if its own-brand Chocolate and Toffee Crisp Bites because they might be contaminated with glass. The Agency has issued a Food Alert for Information.

As a precautionary measure, Sainsbury’s has withdrawn the product from sale. Point-of-sale notices are displayed in stores explaining why the product has been recalled. Anyone who has bought the product can return it for a full refund.

The product being recalled is:

  • Sainsbury’s 18 Chocolate and Toffee Crisp Bites (sold from the in-store bakery)
  • Best before: 22 June 2008
  • Pack size: 250g

No other best before date codes or Sainsbury's products are known to be affected.
