World Dairy Prices Decline Confirmed

7 May 2008 – International dairy prices dropped 4.9% on month in April 2008, according to a report released by ANZ.

The world dairy product price index had been rising for 15 months in a row to reach a peak in November 2007 but has since been falling except for one month.

The April 2008 figure is still up 24% on April 2007, and 105% higher than on its most recent low point, in August 2006.
