Mexico's Bimbo Buys 75 pct of Brazil's Nutrella

Mexico City, May 7 - Mexican breadmaker Bimbo, the world's No. 3 bread maker, said Wednesday it bought a majority stake in Brazilian baking company Nutrella Alimentos.

Bimbo, with operations in the United States and Latin America, bought a 75 percent stake in Nutrella's shares for an undisclosed price, Bimbo said in a statement to the Mexican stock exchange.

Nutrella posted sales of 150 million reals ($89 million) in 2007, the statement said.
