Beijing, May 12 - China, the world's largest rice producer, exported 30,000 tonnes of rice in April, down 88.3 percent from March, official Customs figures showed on Monday.
Beijing has said it would control export of grains, including rice, to ensure domestic supplies and to curb inflation.
Exports of rice in the first four months rose 28.6 percent to 630,000 tonnes, according the figures.
Imports of soybeans in April was 2.39 million tonnes, a rise of 4 percent from March.
China, the world's top soybean buyer, imported 10.17 million tonnes of soybean in the January-April period, up 21.5 percent on year, figures showed.
