Peltz's Trian Raises Cheesecake Factory Stake

Washington, May 15 - Activist investor Nelson Peltz on Thursday disclosed that his Trian Partners fund had increased its stake in restaurant chain Cheesecake Factory Inc to 3.2 million shares.

Trian reported its portfolio holdings as of March 31 in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The fund had previously reported that it had 138,588 shares in Cheesecake Factory as of Dec. 31.

The fund also said it holds 4.2 million shares in Wendy's International Inc, 12.5 million shares in H.J. Heinz Co, 9 million shares in Chemtura Corp, and 6.7 million shares in Tiffany & Co.
