20 May 2008 - Miko, a Belgian coffee service and plastic packaging firm, has acquired Chester Coffee Services in the UK for an undisclosed sum, the company said in a statement.
Chester Coffee Services is the second British coffee operator acquired by Miko this year. In January, FLEXNEWS announced that the Belgian firm had acquired Cambridge-based Coffee4U.
Located in Chester, Chester Coffee Services mainly supplies the Midwest region in England as well as the Manchester and Liverpool areas. The company’s annual turnover amounts to 1 million euro.
Thanks to this latest acquisition, Miko Coffee North West, the local Miko branch, will see its turnover double, added the Belgian firm.
