Romanian Boromir in Talks to Acquire Brands from Sweetmaker Feleacul

28 May 2008 – Sources report that Romanian bakery group Boromir is negotiating with confectionary company Feleacul regarding the sale of the latter's brands.

Production would initially take place under a partnership deal at Boromir’s Amylon Sibiu plant.

Cluj-Napoca-based Feleacul’s produces a range of sweets and last year added milk products to its portfolio. The company reported a 70 million euro turnover in 2007, treble that of 2006.

Boromir Group's turnover reached the 110 million euro mark in 2007, up 23% on 2006.
