30 May 2008 - Yesterday FLEXNEWS reported that Coca-Cola Icecek (CCI), the Turkish unit of the Coca-Cola Company, had signed an agreement to acquire a 12.5% stake in Turkmenistan Coca-Cola Bottlers from Day Investment Ltd for a total consideration of USD 2 million, which would raise its total share in the company to 59.5%.
Today, CCI has announced that it has approved the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding for the acquisition of certain assets, licenses and rights relating to the water business of Sandras Natural Source Water Company.
Sandras currently belongs to the Kalkavan Group, a Turkish maritime transport company.
The definitive terms of the transaction is subject to the satisfaction of certain legal, financial, technical and operational conditions and valuations, CCI said in a statement.
