4 June 2008 - British baker Warburtons has announced that work has begun on a massive GBP 45 million bakery in the outskirts of Bristol.
The new facility is expected to create 175 jobs when opened in September this year. The company expects that another 300 positions will be created over time, totalling 450 jobs.
The Bristol plant, which will produce its first bread in December, is expected tol make 1 million products per week.
The news comes a few months after FLEXNEWS reported that Warburtons said it would add to its growing presence in the South East by opening a new depot in Paddock Wood, Kent.
