Carrefour Rules out "Rationalisation" in Italian Business

London, June 4 - Carrefour Chief Executive Jose Luis Duran on Wednesday ruled out a "rationalisation" of its business in Italy. Asked whether Carrefour would proceed to asset sales in Italy, Duran said: "There is no question of rationalisation in Italy."

Duran was talking to Reuters on the sidelines of a retail conference in London.

Earlier on Wednesday, Carrefour, the world's second-biggest supermarket chain, unveiled a plan to to simplify its governance structure.
