10 June 2008 – The United States International Trade Commission is to conduct final phase investigations into the alleged dumping of citric acid and citrate salts from China and Canada after determining that there was “a reasonable indication that an industry in the United States is materially injured by reason of [those imports]."
A petition was filed by Archer Daniels Midland, Cargill and Tate & Lyle on April 14 alleging that citric acid from China and Canada was being sold in the US at less than fair value and subsidized by the Chinese government, as reported on FLEXNEWS.
