16 June 2008 - Britain's Hobson Foods has acquired bakery firm Tindale & Stanton and its two plants located in Burnopfield and Gateshead.
Hobson Foods Ltd, which is a new company formed by former Tindale & Stanton managing director Peter Frankland, has acquired the baker from administration.
Further to the purchase, Hobson Foods will take over Tindale & Stanton’s production facilities in Burnopfield and Gateshead, which employ approximately 160 staff.
The new company will continue to trade under the Tindale & Stanton brand name.
