South Korea: Dongwon Group Units Jump on Starkist Buy Report

Seoul, June 20 - Shares in Dongwon Group companies jumped early on Friday after a local newspaper reported the group is expected to buy the StarKist seafood business from Del Monte Foods Co for around $300 million.

Food company Dongwon F&B Co Ltd climbed 5.89 percent to 45,850 won and fishery unit Dongwon Industries Co rose 1.8 percent to 141,500 won by 0017 GMT. The wider market was up 0.5 percent.
