According to local media, it is expected that the plant will bring at least 70 new jobs and USD 35 million worth of economic investment to the area.

The company has also acquired 7 acres next to the building, which may be used for future growth either as a distribution centre or as the company’s U.S. headquarters.

Established in 1905, Leclerc is a Canadian leader in the production of cookies. The company also manufactures sugar wafers, snack bars, breakfast cereals, crackers and pretzels.
