According to local media, the dairy company is working with the Conseil Général des Ardennes and progress should be made during the summer.

The media add that Lactalis is seeking to begin production in 2011 and the future factory’s output would be manufactured for northern European markets.

However, a Lactalis spokesman informed FLEXNEWS today that the company has not yet reached a decision regarding the new plant.

Lactalis is already present in the Ardennes and employs approximately 60 people at a plant in Rouvroy-sur-Audry.
