France: Lesaffre Normandie to Invest 8 Mln Euro in Cerences Facility

1 July 2008 - Lesaffre Normandie, part of the Lesaffre Group, plans to invest 8 million euro in its Cérences plant in northern France over the next three years.

According to local media, the company, which claims to be the European leader in contract drying in the food, cosmetics and nutraceutical ingredients fields, will invest 2 million euro in additional space for its dried yeast production.

The company will also build a ninth spray dryer for 2 million euro, add the media.

Lesaffre Normandie is expected to change its name to Lesaffre Ingredients Services. The Cérences plant currently employs 35 people.
