London, July 3 - British pubs group Greene King reported a 2 percent increase in full-year profit on Thursday as a 31 percent rise in food sales offset the impact of a smoking ban and consumer downturn.
Pretax profit before exceptional items for the 53 weeks to May 4 was 142 million pounds ($282 million), compared with 139.8 million the year before.
