Costa Rica: June Coffee Exports Show 17% Year-on-Year Increase

3 July, 2008 - Costa Rican coffee exports in June posted a year-on-year increase of 17%, the Costa Rican Coffee Institute (ICAFE) said.

Costa Rica exported 163,615  bags last month – which was the ninth of the 2007/08 coffee growing season – compared to 139,432. Each bags weighs 60kg.

Total shipments of coffee from Costa Rica for the current marketing year – from October-June – are up 6.5%.
