16 July 2008 - Liepajas Kafijas Fabrika, a Latvian producer of instant coffee, is to fold operations and lay off 40 employees by the end of this year.
Liepajas Kafijas Fabrika says it is terminating operations due to rapidly rising prices for ingredients, materials, as well as other cost increases.
Liepajas Kafijas Fabrika closed 2006 with a profit, on 581,800 lats of turnover that grew 30 % year-on-year.
