Diemen, The Netherlands, 26 January 2006 – CSM has informed the personnel, the trade unions and the works councils of Délices de la Tour in Paris and BakeMark Ingrédients France in Strasbourg of its intention to integrate some of the operations of these two bakery supplies companies. The integration will improve customer service in the various market segments and ultimately reduce the number of support activities and the personnel requirements.

CSM is also engaged in negotiations with the employee representatives of BakeMark Deutschland regarding the further streamlining of processes. CSM expects this action to result in the loss of some 50 jobs in 2006 and 2007, spread over the entire BakeMark organization in Germany.

These steps at CSM Bakery Supplies Europe are in line with earlier announcements by CSM on its intention to reinforce its market positions and organizations under its global 3S program (a Strong company, a Sharp team, and a Solid performance). The 3S program has already led to many restructuring measures. Last week, CSM announced a reorganization at BakeMark UK.
