Collecchio, 22 July 2008 - Parmalat SpA communicates that, while recognizing that the class action filed in the United States has been settled, the Court of Appeals for the second circuit in New York today issued an opinion denying the appeal from the district court's ruling that the action would have been permitted to proceed in the United States.
The court, however, again emphasized that any judgment obtained in the United States would have had to be presented in the Italian bankruptcy court for ultimate determination.
