Dismissal of Claim and Request for Approval as a Class Action against Blue Square Israel Ltd.

Rosh Haayin, Israel, August 4 - Blue Square-Israel Ltd. (hereinafter: "Blue Square") announced today that further to its announcement dated February 27, 2008, regarding the filing of a claim and a request for approval as a class action against Blue Square together with other defendants, in connection with the marketing of eggs classified as "Super Fresh Eggs" - at the recommendation of the court, the plaintiff has applied to the court to dismiss his claim, and the court then dismissed the claim. Furthermore, the court determined that should the plaintiff refile the claim, he would bear the expenses of each defendant in the refiled claim, in the sum of NIS 15,000 plus VAT, interest, and linkage.
